When we don’t let our feelings move, they make a home inside us. Join tia marie + Godis Meaux for a movement and writing ritual that helps you name, feel, and release what’s been blocked. Because jail — emotional, creative, or otherwise — is no place for us.

About the event

Because Jail Is No Place for Me: Moving & Writing Through Blocked Feelings

Facilitated by tia marie + Godis Meaux

This is a space for release. A space where emotion, memory, and motion meet — where the body gets to speak and the words finally catch up. We move to listen, write to release, and witness what’s been waiting beneath our madness.

We know what it feels like to be full and frozen — to keep moving through life while something inside us stays stuck. This workshop is a ritual for unblocking: exploring how feelings get trapped, why they linger, and what freedom feels like when we let them move again.

Through movement, reflection, and writing for emotional release, we’ll explore:

  • What feelings you tend to block and the habits that help you avoid them
