About the Festival:

Founded in 2019 as CineX, LOL Film Fete  proudly  resurges this year as Sex Down South's pre-conference.  Showcasing a lineup of experimental pieces, documentaries, and feature-length films, including inspiring works by founder tia marie and filmmakers Amber & Tristan from Come Here Benji. This festival is a platform where film and diversity converge to spark conversations and ignite inspiration.

Through workshops, panel discussions and plenaries, attendees will get the rare chance to engage with seasoned industry professionals.  LOL! Film Fete's commitment to inclusivity ensures that films from underrepresented communities take center stage as we celebrate diverse voices and stories.

Our master class-inspired workshops will touch upon many filmmaking aspects, from screenwriting and directing to editing, catering to both novices and seasoned professionals.

Expertly curated to meet the gaze of film aficionados and industry newcomers alike, this track is a passport to a realm of cinematic wonders without pushing the boundaries of workplace "propriety."

#NSFW (Not Suitable for Work)
#NSFW track, where the rules are rewritten and the standard is subversion. Designed for the free spirits and daring provocateurs, this collection of films and workshops will dive deep into usually uncharted thematic territories, baring the soul of avant-garde storytelling.
