For some people staying in the moment during sex isn't as simple as just trying harder to focus, and the usual suggestions of mindfulness and meditation don't work for everyone. We spend most of our days working on our ability to multitask, and when we can't turn that off during sex we consider it a problem at best and a personal failure at worst. This presentation will cover a bit about how a bit about how ADHD, anxious, and noisy brains work and how they can impact sex. We'll discuss some specific challenges noisy brains can pose during sex and, most importantly, practical tips for having great sex no matter how noisy your brain is. Audience interaction will also be encouraged, but not required, through an open discussion of what participants often find distracting during sex, what other tips and tricks work for them, and an opportunity to ask questions.

Just Sex: Mapping Your Desire w/ Dr. J'aime Grant

Desire matters. Desire Mapping is a tool that helps connect us to our internal, authentic sexualities and desires so that we can have the sex we want and be true to ourselves. During this workshop, we will begin to claim our desire by exploring and articulating our sex and desire story. Many people come into the workshop with a belief that they don’t have a sex story.  Or that our story doesn’t matter.  But the truth is: Everybody has one. Whether we’ve had zero sexual partners or dozens of them, we have a sex story, and inside of our stories are markers of our likes and our dislikes, our passions and our fears. Together, we will free ourselves from judgments about how and with whom we've encountered our desire and begin to claim it so that we can live in the truth and power of a liberating, grounded sexuality. Some participants may choose to share our discoveries, others may not. There is no ‘forced sharing’ in Desire Mapping. Each of us has our own unique Map. And everything you need to know to create a vibrant, passionate sexuality is embedded in it. You just have to bring your story to light and learn how to use it.

Somadelic: Using Psychedelic Integration Work to Know and Love Your Body
w/ Angel Adeyoha

Come explore with me the ways that psychedelic (mind-revealing) medicine is also somadelic (revealing of the body and its significance). “the aim…is to get high, to have an ecstasy, to tune in, to turn on, to contact incredible diversity, beauty, living, pulsating meaning of the sense organs, and the much more complicated and pleasurable and revelatory message of cellular energy.” Timothy Leary, The Politics of Ecstasy

We’ll discuss ways to bring back and integrate into the mundane the access to the absurd and the sublime that is at the heart of healing when using psychedelics. We’ve been taught to see our brains and our bodies as separate and disparate entities but they’ve always been part of the whole you. When a whole self is experiencing psychedelics brain mechanics change. The pathways become more open and whole and cohesiveness becomes possible. Learning how to practice integration takes that ecstasy that Leary points at and translates it into daily love for your body/yourself.

What things should you be aware of when playing with someone who has trauma in their
background? Are there special things to consider during negotiations? What does being triggered really mean? (Hint: most people on the net use it to mean something that makes them  uncomfortable. That’s not being triggered.) What are ways to handle the situation if the person you’re playing with becomes triggered during a session? Anna Baxter, LPC answers these questions and other sensitive topics surrounding Triggers and Trauma within the lifestyle.

Twerkin’ for Jesus: Sacred Dance as a Pathway to Heal Religious and Sexual Trauma w/ Latishia James-Portis & Rashida Khanbey Miller

Growing up as praise dancers in the Black Church, both Rashida and Latishia can cite immense joy and ecstatic experiences while dancing for the purpose of “ministering.” As queer Black women their connections to traditional church were severed after coming out. However their connection to spirit remained. After years of battling internalized shame, homophobia, and messages rife with purity culture we both learned to reshape our relationship to the Divine and though on different paths, both used dance as a way to minister to ourselves and begin to heal the severed relationship between our spiritual and sexual selves. This workshop will help participants to unlearn the lies told by colonized Christianity that our bodies are any less sacred because we are queer or trans, survivors of sexual violence, or have had abortions. When in reality our bodies are sacred things and as long as we can move them (whatever that means for us) “God is as close to us as our breath.”

The Uses Of The Erotic In The Time of Transition w/ M'kali-Hashiki

The world is changing. Whether you think we are on a quick slope to facism and the apocalypse or in the chaos of birthing a new society based on interdependence or liberation, you can't deny that change is a-brewing. How can we use the erotic to prepare us for the change no matter what it is? Learn to use the breath to access our erotic energy, our most potent transformative fuel. Wherever we are headed, this fuel will ensure the "thrival" of those who survive it.

Whip Fit! Flogger Based Movement & Light Cardio Class w/ Auntie Midori

Midori’s unique flogging based movements and light exercise class.... Fluid elliptical movement. Think air guitar, shadow boxing or spinning poi! No experience necessary.

You'll need:
- Wear comfortable clothes that's easy to move in. If you like support clothing, such as sport bras or jock straps, it's not a bad idea.
- Space - enough clearance to swing your flogger without causing unintentional spacial rearrangement
- Floggers - Pair or single, either is fine. Many of the movements will be done with one in each hand. Make sure it's the right length for your pace. If you are new to this, go for a lighter weight. If you want a little extra resistance and exercise, use a heavier one.

Don't have a flogger? No problem! Anything you can grip with one hand and a little flexibility will work.
A hand towel, a feather duster, pair of long socks with tennis balls in it, a bouquet of flowers, etc.

Want a more challenging workout? Wear some extra weights on your body. Try a heavier object to swing.

** Special notes about pets such as cats & dogs. Some animals are scared of floggers. Some animals think they're toys to chase. If you have animals, please attend to them as appropriate.
